Na okres wakacji bulwar po raz drugi zamienia się w Park pełen niebanalnych, intrygujących rzeźb, które stworzone zostały z myślą o tym specyficznym terenie. Jest to klasyczny plażowy leżak, tylko pięciokrotnie większy. Zbudowany tak jak prawdziwy, jednak przeznaczony do korzystania przez kilka osób jednocześnie. Ma być zachętą dla ludzi do przebywania nad Wisłą, traktowania nabrzeża jako miejsca wypoczynkowego. Te właśnie przedmioty są rzeczywistymi śladami Rzeki. Łódką przewozimy z plaży przy Grubej Kaśce metr sześcienny piasku do barki przy Syrence, tam na betonowych stopniach rozsypujemy go siejąc przez sita od najdrobniejszych frakcji na najniższych stopniach do grubszych na wyższych. Powstanie w ten sposób kształt piramidy.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="background-color: white; color: #134f5c;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: x-small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="background-color: white; color: #134f5c;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Cubic meter: The Vistula is not the water that flows here for thousands of years but it is the ditch, through which flint, bricks, bones, shells, pottery, rusty metal, gravel, sand, and stones flow in the very middle of Poland. These items are the real “footsteps” of the river. By boat we carried a cubic meter of sand from the beach by “Gruba Kaśka” waterworks to the river bank near the Mermaid, where we spread it on the concrete steps sieving it and placing the smallest fractions on the bottom steps and the larger ones on the top. Jacek Bąkowski, pomysłodawca, który jest artystą i pedagogiem, filozofem, a nawet dyplomowanym pszczelarzem, zaproponował, by pośrodku umieścić mały kwadrat, który symbolizuje nasze prawdziwe „ja”. Ok, ale co dalej. Teraz pora na emocje, zmysły, rozum i pamięć. Zamazaliśmy kilka kartek różnymi mniej lub bardziej geometrycznymi bohomazami, probowaliśmy jakiegoś systemu kanalików czy wręcz rur hydraulicznych... Ale przecież te różne aspekty człowieka nie są oddzielone wyraźnymi granicami, raczej przechodzą w siebie płynnie. Ha! W takim razie niech będzie to gradient, cztery przechodzące w siebie stopniowo kolory. I na tym stanęło. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;Praktycznie było tak: „Syrenka” płynie o 12 na Zawady, może nas wyrzucić na wyspie pod Mostem Poniatowskiego, a wracając o czwartej, zabierze nas z powrotem. Będziemy więc przez cztery godziny rozbitkami na bezludnej wyspie. My to znaczy Jacek, Sylwia, Maciek i ja.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;Syrenka nie mogła dobić do samej wyspy, więc wymacaliśmy patykiem dno i stojąc w wodzie po kolana wypakowywaliśmy swoje toboły.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;Wyspa okazała się wcale nie bezludna, ale koczujący na niej wędkarze ewakuowali się szybko na nasz widok, mewy natomiast odleciały na chwilę, ale wkrótce wróciły na swój cypel.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;Wytyczyliśmy środkowy kwadrat, podzieliliśmy przywiezione 3 kolory ziemi na równe kupy i sypiemy. Czwartym kolorem jest miejscowy piasek. Z każdym kolejnym bokiem idzie sprawniej, sitka, którymi sypiemy, chodzą coraz szybciej i bardziej precyzyjnie. To, co usypane, pryskamy najsłodszym napojem, jaki udało się znaleźć - „3 cytryny”. Obiecaliśmy sobie, że nie będziemy tego pić, ale kiedy skończyła się woda mineralna, „3 cytryny" stały się całkiem atrakcyjne. Może zamówimy pizzę. W końcu piszą, że dostawa na terenie całej Warszawy.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;Wokół nas na Wiśle niezwykły ruch, tramwaje wodne, kajaki, motorówki, machamy do nich, żałując, że nie wzięliśmy czterech składanych szkieletów, żeby przestraszyć załogę Syrenki. Tymczasem to oni nas przestraszyli... Przepływają bez słowa mknąc szybko z prądem w siną dal. Uff, to tylko manewr, nie da się podejść pod wyspę z prądem. Zwijamy manatki. Zostawiamy za sobą mewy i gotową mandalę – symbol duchowości, przy którym nasz aspekt cielesny nieźle się napracował. /Klara Kopcińska/&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;Philosophically this is what we were trying to achieve: how to use simple symbols inscribed in a square mandala to show the spiritual aspect of man. Jacek Bakowski, originator of the poject, who is an artist and teacher, philosopher, and even a certified beekeeper, suggested that in the middle there should be a small square, which symbolizes our true selves. Ok, but what's next. Now it's time for emotions, senses, intellect and memory. We doodled over several pages, we tried a system of tubes, or even plumbing pipes... But these different aspects of human personality are not separated by clear boundaries, their borders are quite blurred. Ha!, I said, In that case, let it be a gradient of four colours gradually. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;Practically this is what we had to do: The boat "Syrenka" leaves by 12 to Zawady, it can let us out on the island near Poniatowski Bridge, and at 4 PM it can fetch us back. For four hours we will be shipwrecked on a desert island. Jacek, Sylwia, Maciek and me.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;“Syrenka” couldn't make it too close to the island, so we checked the river bed with a stick and standing in water up to our knees we took out all our bundles.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;The island turned out not to be deserted, but the anglers camping left quickly, while seagulls flew away for a while, but soon returned to the cape where they resided.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;We have drawn the center square, divided the three “imported” colours of soil into equal piles. The fourth color was local sand. We made quick progress, the sieves which we used&amp;nbsp; moved faster and faster, and more accurately. We sprinkle the ready parts with the sweetest drink, which could be found—the "3 lemons”. We swore we will never drink it, but by the time we drank all the minerral water, the "3 lemons" have become quite attractive. Maybe we could order pizza? After all they declare that they deliver throughout Warsaw.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;Around us, on the Vistula there is unusual traffic, water trams, canoes, motorboats, we stand there waving to them, regretting that we didn't take four inflated skeletons to scare the crew of “Syrenka”. Meanwhile, they frightened us... They arrive and then silently pass by. Phew, it's just a maneuver, as it is impossible to approach the island with the tide. We pack our stuff and leave behind the gulls and the ready mandala—a symbol of spirituality. Fabryce Norblina, gdy ta tajemniczo została sprzedana prywatnemu inwestorowi, a Muzea Techniki i Motoryzacji otrzymały nakaz przeprowadzki (&lt;a href="http://www.2b.art.pl/index.php?LANG=pl&amp;amp;struct=19"&gt;więcej o aferze&lt;/a&gt;).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Norblin. Na skwerze przed rzędem bezokich „ogórków', po kostki w wodzie niczym Stalker, stoi artysta – Zygmunt Piotrowski i... płacze. Krzyczy na mnie, że piszę “płacze”, a zatem: łzy ciekną mu po twarzy, czasami usta wykrzywia niemy szloch.&lt;br /&gt;Za nim na murach projekcja Żuka Piwkowskiego wykorzystująca motywy z gier komputerowych, makro zbliżenia smoków, wojowników, lwów. Obrazki z tych „nawalanek” odbijają się w rozlanej wodzie, pełgają po twarzy i łzach Piotrowskiego.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jeśli pójść dalej Ulicą Poloneza, miniemy okna oklejone na krzyż taśmą z napisem „GROUNDWORK, praca u źródeł”. W hali Zakuwarki zainstalowaliśmy monitory telewizji przemysłowej ukazujące różne punkty fabryki, alejki, portiernię, widok głównego dziedzińca z Pałacem Kultury w tle – z jednej, a z poczwarnym molochem JW Construction z drugiej strony.&lt;br /&gt;W hali Mechanicznej znów projekcje – padając na ściany przecinane rurkami kryjącymi kable elektryczne, po drodze tworzą kolorowe plamy na maszynach – pięknym zbiorze działających nadal frezarek, tokarek, młotów resorowych – prawdziwych pomników zwykłej ludzkiej pracy. Tu mignie rycerz, tam ktoś leci na gryfie, tu znów ostrzeliwuje wioskę skrytą pod palmami.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Na murach między Rządową a Niespełnionych Nadziei odbijające się wielokrotnie w szybach obrazy – ruskie ikony przedstawiające świętego Jerzego w walce ze smokiem. Z nieczynnej trakcji zwisa brzozowy kij z wyciętym nożem i wyzłoconym napisem NON DRACO SIT MIHI DUX.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Czasem przeleci i przysiądzie gdzieś gawron, zaszczeka pies, za murem przetoczy się tramwaj lub zaryczy karetka. Załoga Norblina tego wieczora to dwie osoby z kierownictwa Muzeum, jeden strażnik, czterech techników i my – troje artystów.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;* * *&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Po drugiej stronie muru stoi kilku napakowanych panów z ogolonymi głowami i nie wpuszcza widzów do środka, aby zapobiec społecznej szkodliwości tej wywrotowej akcji.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;W pewnej chwili prywatną terenówką nadjeżdża dwóch mundurowych, legitymują Żuka. Ktoś zakleił obiektyw kamery przemysłowej w portierni, my ściągamy plaster, za chwilę wraca on na swoje miejsce.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Zbliża się północ, zbierają się widzowie, przedstawiciele dewelopera, którzy od dwóch dni spokojnie obserwowali, jak ustawiamy tu górę sprzętu, stanowczo odmawiają wpuszczenia kogokolwiek na teren fabryki. Twierdzą, że impreza, na przeprowadzenie której mieliśmy zgodę Muzeum Techniki podpisaną 24 kwietnia, jest nielegalna. Nasi operatorzy, którzy mieli filmować performance, włączają kamery i kierują je na zdeterminowanych ochroniarzy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Niektórzy uczestnicy myślą, że to jakiś happening, po kilkunastu minutach mówią „no dobra, fajne było, ale teraz nas wpuśćcie”.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ale to nie akcja artystyczna. My nie wiemy, co dzieje się na zewnątrz, ci z zewnątrz nie wiedzą, co dzieje się w środku.Żuk i ja sami łapiemy za kamery, też wskakuję po kostki w wodę przed Zygmuntem, żeby zrobić zbliżenie jego łez.&lt;br /&gt;Robimy godzinny performance bez publiczności. Publiczność solidarnie stoi za murem.&lt;br /&gt;Gdzieś od strony Jana Pawła majaczy za drzewami podświetlony bilbord z napisem KOMEDIA.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;This was a performance we were trying to make at the former Norblin factory, when it was mysteriously sold by the city to a private investor and the Museum of Technology and Museum of Old Cars were told they have to move.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;Former Norblin factory. On the square before a row of old buses, his feet in the water (looking like Stalker) stands artist - Zygmunt Piotrowski... crying. The images blink, here a knight, here some flying monster, here again a bombarded the village hidden beneath the palms.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;On the walls between the Government and the Unmet Hopes streets repeatedly reflected in the windows – appear Russian icons depicting St. George fighting against the dragon. The whole crew of the old Norblin factory that evening are two persons from the management of the Museum, one guard, four technicians, and we - the three artists.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;* * *&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;On the other side of the wall several muscular guys with shaven heads stop the viewers from entering and&amp;nbsp; seeing this “subversive” action.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;At one point, a private car arrives with two policemen, they ask Żuk questions. Someone sealed the camera lens in the reception, we take the tape off, but it returns in a few moments. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;It is almost midnight, the audience gathers, the representatives of the developer, who for two days quietly watched us as we set up the equipment, refuse to let anyone into the factory. They argue that the event, for which we got the permission of the Museum of Technology signed on April 24, is illegal. Our camera operators, who were supposed to film the performance, and are also locked outside the gate, take the cameras out and point them at the determined bodyguards.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;Some participants think this is a happening, after several minutes, saying "ok, this was cool, but now let us in”.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;But it has nothing to do with art. Warszawskie wybrzeże Wisły z jego kulturowym kontekstem lewobrzeżnej praworządności i praskiej anarchii, jest dla niego najwłaściwszym miejscem. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;projekt realizowany we współpracy z Fundacją Atelier&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;Easily, although usually unconsciously, we give away our freedom in exchange for an illusion of safety. Today the various dangers are played up and thus the omnipresent intervention in the everyday life is easily tolerated. The general human rights are replacedby a number of regulations. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;The project aims to stress the necessity of preserving/restoring balance between safety and individual freedom. Artysta przez tydzień pracował w Warszawie. W Jadłodajni filozoficznej poprowadził warsztaty:   50 osób przez kilka godzin oklejało siebie i wszystko, co znalazło się w zasięgu ręki, taśmą klejącą./ &lt;span style="color: #134f5c;"&gt;In August 2007 Mark Jenkins arrived in Warsaw, invited by STEP Association. He is a street artist, who makes sculptures of tape. He spent a week working in Warsaw. He also ran a workshop at Jadłodajnia Filozoficzna: 50 people for several hours were making casts of themselves and of whatever they found. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; Przybliża człowieka do natury, której częścią jest on sam, tylko o tym często zapomina. Myślę, że w epoce betonu, stali i szkła można, a nawet trzeba zainwestować w miejskie działania ekologiczno-artystyczne i stworzyć w parkach, skwerach, podwórkach otwarte (plenerowe) „Zielone Galerie”. Dla dużej grupy ludzi taka galeria będzie pierwszym i jedynym kontaktem ze sztuką.&lt;br /&gt;Na drzewach (obciętych gałęziach i miejscach, gdzie kora drzewa jest uszkodzona) tworzę prace malarskie, które zabezpieczają samo drzewo (niezamalowane uszkodzenia powodują gniecie drzewa, a po zamalowaniu pokrywają się stopniowo korą) i pokazują człowiekowi, że to drzewo jest wartością samą w sobie. To nie jest pomysł zblazowanej wyobraźni artysty - ma swoje korzenie w naszej tradycji.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;Na drzewach malowali: Linas Domarackas &amp;amp; Katia Sokolowa-Zyzak&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #45818e; text-align: left;"&gt;The idea is based on the ancient tradition of Central and Easten Europe. It brings man closer to nature, as he often forgets he is part of it. In the times of concrete, steel and glass we should invest in some activities on the verge of art and ecology and create open "green galleries" - in parks, public squares, yards. For many people this will be their only contact with art.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #45818e; text-align: left;"&gt;On the trees (where the branches were cut or the bark broken) I created pictures, which help the tree heal (when those spots remain unpainted they may rot, whereas the painted ones recreate the bark) and at the same time they show that a tree is a value of its own. This is not some extravagant artist's idea - it is deeply rooted in our tradition.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #45818e; text-align: left;"&gt;The trees were painted by Linas Domarackas &amp;amp; I ja ją widzę w Warszawie.&lt;br /&gt;Widziałam ją od zawsze i przyzwyczaiłam się. Zanim zaczęłam zwiedzać inne miejsca wydawało mi się, że wojna zadomowiona jest w każdym mieście na świecie. Ale tak nie jest.&lt;br /&gt;W Warszawie podczas II wojny światowej zginęło wyjątkowo wielu ludzi. Umarli –rozstrzelani, spaleni, skatowani, z głodu. W cierpieniu. Dużo cierpienia mieszka w Warszawie do dziś.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Odwiedziła mnie kiedyś przyjaciółka z innego kraju, z innego miasta. Chciałam jej pokazać piękną Warszawę. Łazienki, Krakowskie Przedmieście, Stare Miasto. Idziemy. Piękne, późne lato. A co napisane jest na tych tablicach? Napisane jest ilu zginęło tu ludzi. Na wszystkich? Na każdej. Powstanie w Getcie, Powstanie Warszawskie...&lt;br /&gt;W każdym miejscu, z którym łączy się moje życie w Warszawie kilkadziesiąt lat temu ktoś umarł. Przerażony, wyrwany ze snu. Wściekły, wyrwany z walki. Żyjemy tu razem.&lt;br /&gt;Warszawa to miasto, na którym wojna odcisnęła swój znak. Wychowując się i&amp;nbsp;mieszkając w tym mieście dostałam swój znak od Warszawy. To ten sam znak. Tylko bledszy. Wciąż blednie. Chciałam powiedzieć, że wiem, pamiętam. Kiedy jesteś warszawiakiem – nie sposób nie wiedzieć, nie pamiętać...&lt;br /&gt;Warszawa widziała wojnę. O tym jest ta wystawa. I o tym, że tu mieszkamy. Mimo, że tu dziwnie...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="color: #45818e;"&gt;Warsaw saw the war. And I see the war in Warsaw.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #45818e;"&gt;I have always seen it and I got used to it. Before I started visiting other places, I was sure that war is an inhabitant in every town in the world. But it’s not.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #45818e;"&gt;During the II. world war, Warsaw saw overwhelmingly many people die. They died—shot, burned, tortured, or starving to death. In suffering. A lot of suffering lives in Warsaw until today.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #45818e;"&gt;Once a friend came to visit me, from another country, another city. I wanted to show her my beautiful city—Warsaw. The Łazienki Gardens, Krakowskie Przedmiescie Street, Stare Miasto—The Old Town.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #45818e;"&gt;We are walking. It is a beautiful late summer. What is written on these plaques? It says how many people died here. On all of them? On each and every one. The Uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto, the Warsaw Uprising...&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #45818e;"&gt;In each place, with which my live in Warsaw is connected—some time ago—somebody died. Full of fear, suddenly awaken. Furious in the midst of a battle. We live together here.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #45818e;"&gt;Warsaw is a city where war left a sign. Growing up and living in this city I got my sign from Warsaw. It is the same sign. Maybe more pale. And its getting more and more pale with time. I wanted to say that I know, that I remember. Szkoda, że (jak zauważył Gyorgy Kepes) „w dzisiejszych czasach artysta i naukowiec prawie nigdy nie są tą samą osobą”. &lt;i&gt;Projekt Norblin &lt;/i&gt;jest jednak jedną z tych rzadkich sytuacji. Wally Gilbert – fotograf jest tą samą osobą co profesor Walter Gilbert, uznany naukowiec, laureat nagrody Nobla za opracowanie technologii sekwencjonowania DNA. Komputer, służący jako instrument naukowych badań – stał się dla niego także narzędziem poszukiwań w&amp;nbsp;dziedzinie sztuk wizualnych. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;Wiosną 2006, niemal dokładnie rok temu, Wally Gilbert został zaproszony do Warszawy, żeby fotografować starą fabrykę Norblina. Pracując systematycznie po kilka godzin dziennie przez prawie tydzień, zrobił w Norblinie tysiące zdjęć. Większość z nich to zbliżenia narzędzi, maszyn, murów i sklepień. Mają one niezwykłe znaczenie jako dokumentacja, oddają też ducha tego miejsca, dzięki bardzo dużym zbliżeniom fragmentów – reliktów przeszłości pozostawionych w nieczynnej fabryce. /Jan Kubasiewicz/&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left" style="color: #76a5af;"&gt;The Norblin Project, Wally Gilbert’s installation and exhibition of photography, represents an evidence that creativity in art and science share more similarities than differences. One may find it regrettable that “… in our days, the artist and the scientist are almost never the same person” (as Gyorgy Kepes commented). The case of Wally Gilbert is one of those rare exceptions. Wally Gilbert a photographer is the same person as Professor Walter Gilbert, an accomplished scientist, and a Nobel Price winner for developing DNA sequencing technology. For him the computer, a tool of scientific research becomes a tool of exploration in the domain of visual arts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left" style="color: #76a5af;"&gt;In Spring 2006, almost exactly a year ago, Wally Gilbert was invited to Warsaw to photograph the old Norblin factory. Working systematically for several hours a day for almost a week, Wally Gilbert shot several thousands photographs at the Norblin site. Majority of these images are close-ups of tools, machinery, walls and ceilings. W Dniu Uchodźcy, 20 czerwca 2008, w okolicach słupa pojawił się artysta Miro Csölle, w odblaskowej kamizelce z napisem Grozny 2012 km. Obok, zaproszeni przez niego znajomi grali w badmintona, by zwrócić na słup uwagę przechodniów w tym ruchliwym miejscu. Przez jakiś czas artysta wchodził z pomnikiem w różne interakcje. Dystans 2012 w porównaniu do np. Lublina wydawał się ogromny, ale jeśli weźmiemy pod uwagę, że np. z Warszawy do Londynu jest 1454 km, to perspektywa nieznacznie się zmienia. &lt;br /&gt;Grozny, stolica Czeczenii, zostało w 2003 roku nazwane przez ONZ najbardziej zniszczonym miastem świata. Z tego punktu widzenia, jest mu do Warszawy wyjątkowo blisko. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="color: #76a5af;"&gt;Near the palace of Culture in Warsaw, a stone cuboid has been erected years ago, with some interesting piece of information on it – the distances between Warsaw and several other towns in Poland. On June 20th, 2008, the Day of the Refugee, artist Miro Csölle appeared near the monument, in a flashy biker's vest bearing an inscription: Grozny 2012 km. Near him a couple of friends played badminton to attract passers-by in this busy junction. For some time the artist was interacting with the monument. The distance of 2012 km seems huge if compared e.g. with the nearby town of Lublin, but if we bear in mind the fact that the distance between Warsaw and London is 1454, the perspective slightly changes. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #76a5af;"&gt;Grozny, the capital of Chechnya was announce by the UN in 2003 the most destroyed city in the world. This makes it really close to Warsaw.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; Np. na styku czerwonego z niebieskim powstanie fiolet, piasek żółty zmieszany z czerwonym da kolor pomarańczowy itp. Z biegiem czasu dojdzie do wymieszania się piasku i zatracenia intensywności plam kolorowego piasku. Dalekimi reminiscencjami dla projektu są kamienne ogrody Zen a także hipisowska kultura Dzieci Kwiatów. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="color: #45818e;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: #45818e;"&gt;The author's comment: The participants can walk around the Park (bare foot) and mix the colours (esp. where they meet), and new colours appear. Red with blue gives violet, yellow with red gives orange. With time all the sand will mix and the bright colours will fade. Postać wykonana techniką taśmy klejącej (stworzonej przez Marka Jenkinsa) znajduje się w łódce zacumowanej nieopodal brzegu. Trzymana w ręku wędka zaopatrzona jest w duży spławik, skonstruowany tak, by przepływająca w nurcie rzeki woda szarpała nim i żyłką długiej i cienkiej wędki. Na jej końcu wiszą „chińskie dzwonki”, które potrząsane, dźwięczą mile dla ucha.&lt;br /&gt;Rybak miał szereg przygód. Raz wypadł podczas manewrów sąsiadujących barek, szczęśliwie wyłowiła go policja rzeczna, a na koniec ktoś skradł mu łódkę, odtąd siedział na leżaku, czasem w towarzystwie syreny.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="color: #45818e;"&gt;The author, intrigued by the natural symbiosis of the angler and the river, wanted to hear the river's song, becoming THE ideal angler. Created with the use of the box sealing tape technique developed by Mark Jenkins, the artist's body cast was placed in a small boat near the bank. Bells were attached to the fishing rod. The angler had an exciting life. First he fell of the boat and had to be saved by water Police, later his boat was stolen.
